THREE PEAKS OF YORKSHIRE
in the Yorkshire Dales

The famous Three Peaks of Yorkshire comprise Ingleborough at 724 metres, Whernside (736m) and Pen-y-ghent (694m).

Whilst fitter folks can complete the 25 mile circuit in around 9 hours, each peak can be ascended individually on a "one a day" basis during a stay in Ingleton.

Ingleborough is easily climbed from Ingleton, or via Clapham or Chapel le Dale.

Whernside is possible from Ingleton (around 14 miles return) but the routes from Ribblehead and Dent (both only a short drive from Ingleton) are shorter.

Pen-y-ghent is normally ascended from Horton in Ribblesdale (the usual start point of the Three Peaks races) which is a short drive from Ingleton where there is more choice of accommodation.
