Easily reached from Ingleton are other places of interest. About 10Kms along the B6255 Hawes road is the famous Ribblehead Viaduct which has 24 arches.

Continue on to Hawes for the Dales Countryside Museum, a very interesting history of life in the Yorkshire Dales in days gone by.

Also in Hawes is a ropemaker and the Wensleydale Creamery where you see the cheese being made and can sample some.

Located at Clapham is Ingleborough Cave. This is a show cave similar but different to White Scar Cave at Ingleton. It is more natural in that there has been no blasting to make walkways which have slopes but no steps. It is also slightly smaller with the tour lasting just under the hour.

The cave entrance is reached via a one mile walk from Clapham through Ingleborough Estate Nature Trail for which a small charge is made (there is a free route which skirts the Estate). The walk itself is attractive, passing through wooded scenery and by a lake before reaching the open dale leading to the cave.

The Three Peaks of Yorkshire provide a 25 mile challange which ascends Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The Three peaks Challange normally starts from Horton in Ribbledale and there are quite a lot of charity versions throughout the year should you fancy your chances!
For others the individual peaks can be ascended on a one per day basis from Ingleton.

On the A65 about 8 miles from Ingleton is the Yorkshire Dales Falconry & Wildlife Centre where you can watch flying demonstrations or learn the sport of Falconry on a half day or a full day course.

The Settle to Carlisle Railway which runs through really great Yorkshire Dales scenery starts at Settle (9 miles from Ingleton) or you can join most of the trains at Ribblehead (about 6 miles from Ingleton).

Other things to see and do include Skipton Castle, Bolton Castle, Lancaster Castle, Richmond Castle, Bolton Abbey, Williamson Park, Forbidden Corner and the Embsay Railway.

Within a few miles of Ingleton is the Trough of Bowland, an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), which provides good walking and cycling country. The Lake District is also not very far away with Windermere being about 25 miles and reachable by car in 30 to 40 minutes.
